My new album Talk To Me Like The Rain And Let Me Listenis now finally available! Click the banner above for more information. Currently you can buy the album from two record stores in St. Petersburg and Tampa, or you can buy the album directly from me, via the Paypal buttons here. I'll be constantly adding new stores, websites, Itunes, etc that will be stocking the album in the next few days. The packaging is amazing, and I'm incredibly excited to get these out to people interested. I'd like to thank Brad Tilbe from Feels Like Home Records, Cici Ross, and the National Archives And Records Administration Of Americafor making this record possible.I hope everyone enjoys!
As for other releases, my upcoming record Vimanas is still in the recording process. I'm pretty damn excited about this one. It's more atmospheric than anything i've done in a while, and the subject matter is something more dense and political than anything I've ever been willing to release. I'll be selling it for one or two dollars in a pay-what-you-want type format, with the majority of profits going to knowmore.org, this grassroots organization I've been into lately. I'll keep everyone updated and will be posting sample recordings regularly. Take it easy, internet.

Just a quick update. Firstly, the first piece of fiction I've ever considered publishable, Out Into That Old Countrywas selected as a semi-finalist inthe 2010 William Faulkner - William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition! This isn't that big of a deal, but it's my first accomplishment ever with fiction, so I'm really excited. I'll keep you updated on what may happen to the book, if nobody publishes it I'll just post it for free download in The Vault with all of the music.
Now to a more relevant topic, my new full length Talk To Me Like The Rain And Let Me Listenis finally going to be officially released August 6th. My CD Release Showis the night before, August 5th, at Jack Rabbits in Jacksonville, Florida. Come out and be one of the first to get a copy! Following the show, you will be able to purchase the album in various independent record stores (initially these will mostly be in Florida, I think the first place to carry the CD isDaddy Kool Records in downtown St. Petersburg), then in the next few weeks you will be able to purchase online via Itunes, Rhapsody, CDBaby, and lots of other places which I will announce. This is all exciting stuff. I hope everyone is doing well!

Once again I have done a terrible job with keeping everyone updated. This will probably be a long and wordy news update by the time i'm done, but I have a lot to talk about. I hope everyone is well! My new full length Talk To Me Like The Rain And Let Me Listenis currently being pressed and will finally be available for you to purchase in the next few weeks. It's my first non-digital release, so I'm pretty excited to have it in my hands. This is the cover art:Talk To Me
Upon arrival of the discs, and a few days to set up everything, you will be able to purchase the album via Itunes, CdBaby, Rhapsody, various independent record stores (which I will announce), and of course shows. This is the first single from Talk To Me, entitled World Gone Wrong:
World Gone Wrong
I hope you enjoy.
I have also started recording another new album, entitled Vimanas. It has more political songs than anything I've done in a while, but I felt the timing was appropriate. Studying history has led me to fear the future of America more so than ever before, and the current state of the ever-growing radical Republican party is absolutely reaffirming any fear or mistrust I've had in this country. But enough of that. The idea of Vimanas came from Sanskrit literature and stories from the Vedas, which describe these mythical flying machines called Vimanas, that carry the gods between this world and the next. As I watched the state of the modern world unfold, I became more and more allured by the concept of escaping this chaos with a Vimana as my transport. It's kind of silly now that I type it down, but that is the concept of the album. Here is an unmastered version of a song I've been working on. It's called Time (Didn't Love). It's a love song!
Time (Didn't Love)
That album should be finished sometime in August.
It will be released digitally on the website with a pay-what-you-want option and I plan on donating all of the money toKnowmore.org. They are a wonderful nonprofit organization devoted to promoting responsible consumerism and keeping Americans aware of who their money really goes to. According to their homepage, their mission is to "raise awareness of corporate abuse, and to serve as a catalyst for direct action against corporate power".
Naturally, I am wildly interested in aiding their cause. Eventually I will also press a small amount of copies to hand out at shows and such. I will try to keep everyone updated on the status of Vimanas.
And in other news, as you probably don't know, I finished my first piece of credible fiction a few months ago, entitled Out Into That Old Country. It's about the size of anovella, and since I completed it I've been sending it to independent publishers and fiction contests everywhere, trying to find someone interested. If I don't find anyone, I eventually plan on publishing it myself, and will probably post it in The Vault, haha.
Other than that, I've just been enjoying my summer withCici Ross. Keep in touch! Alot of things should be happening in the upcoming weeks, so you'll be hearing from me again soon.

This is my first update in a month, so this is what's been happening:
First of all, my long-awaited debut full length from 2008, Everything Will Be Oklahomawill soon be available for digital purchase in The Vault Store. Probably tonight or some time this weekend, you will be able to go and choose between purchasing the album in mp3 format or the slightly more expensive flac (unaltered CD quality), I'll keep all prices reasonable, I promise. I'll post another announcement when everything is up and running. Also, we're adding a Donate option to all of the EP's so if anyone feels like being gracious, they can choose to donate any amount they desire. All purchases are done through Paypal, so you're completely secure. Feel free to email with any questions!
Now, about my new upcoming full length, Talk To Me Like The Rain And Let Me Listen is currently in the mastering process. That should take around two weeks, and after that it won't be much longer until it can be pressed and distributed. I can't give an official release date yet, but you'll be able to purchase the album probably around mid to late April on Feels Like Home Records. I'll release a single or two for your downloading and listening pleasure before that time, as well. I'll try to keep everyone updated on that.
Also also also, as you probably don't know, I write fiction. Lately, I've become more frequent with it and have submitted a few works to a few different online magazines and such, hopefully they'll be interested and i'll be posted. I'll let you know if I do. And if I don't I will never speak of this again haha
I hope everyone is doing well, keep in touch! Expect another News update in the next few days

I've had this site running for around six months now, and this is my first News update! So sorry about that, i'll be trying to keep it fairly updated from now on. Just in case I can't for some reason, I suggest you register to the site and i'll add you to the Newsletter list. People who register can leave comments and download rough demos from The Vault, and people on the newsletter get the most frequent updates, free downloads, etc. and it's a fairly reliable way to get in direct contact with me.. If you hadn't figured it out yet, myspace is dying. I've been using that site since 2006 for my music and I think it's time to move on to greener, more professional pastures, so this is my site. It'll be a much simpler way to get a hold of me and my music, hopefully.
This is what's been happening:
As you probably haven't heard, my new album Talk To Me Like The Rain And Let Me Listen is finished. I recorded it over a few weeks last month in a haunted room at Cici Ross's house (check her out) and i'm happy to say that I'm pretty damn proud of it. It's not as lo-fi as my past releases, but it still holds that raw, sparse, unaltered sound that I'm so fixated on. I feel like it's also a little prettier sounding than I've done in a while, with more ambience and less urgency, I suppose. I think it should be well received. I was on a reasonably intense Tennessee Williams binge when I wrote most of the material this past Winter, so I dedicated it to him and named it after one of his more obscure one-act plays. Some of the recurring themes of the album are: The Number 3, Existence, Rain, the Devil, Religion, America, the Ocean, and I'm sure plenty of other ridiculous things. Unlike my past releases, this album will be available for purchase in the next month or so by Feels Like Home Records. You'll be able to buy it on Itunes, CDbaby, a few independent record stores, and of course, via links on this site. I'll let you know again in the next few weeks when the release date is certain, along with a little preview of the upcoming material. Here's the tracklist!
1. Will The King Step Forward 2. Ballast, My Own 3. Three 4. World Gone Wrong 5. Ocean In My Head 6. Medium 7. Best I'll Ever Have 8. Boat! 9. Flashlights (Tonight) 10. No Arms No Oars 11. Three Years In A Mexican Prison With An American Eagle And A Man-Eating Whale 12. The Final Scene
I'll keep in touch, and I hope everyone is doing well!
