I've had this site running for around six months now, and this is my first News update! So sorry about that, i'll be trying to keep it fairly updated from now on. Just in case I can't for some reason, I suggest you register to the site and i'll add you to the Newsletter list. People who register can leave comments and download rough demos from The Vault, and people on the newsletter get the most frequent updates, free downloads, etc. and it's a fairly reliable way to get in direct contact with me.. If you hadn't figured it out yet, myspace is dying. I've been using that site since 2006 for my music and I think it's time to move on to greener, more professional pastures, so this is my site. It'll be a much simpler way to get a hold of me and my music, hopefully.

This is what's been happening:

As you probably haven't heard, my new album Talk To Me Like The Rain And Let Me Listen is finished. I recorded it over a few weeks last month in a haunted room at Cici Ross's house (check her out) and i'm happy to say that I'm pretty damn proud of it. It's not as lo-fi as my past releases, but it still holds that raw, sparse, unaltered sound that I'm so fixated on. I feel like it's also a little prettier sounding than I've done in a while, with more ambience and less urgency, I suppose. I think it should be well received. I was on a reasonably intense Tennessee Williams binge when I wrote most of the material this past Winter, so I dedicated it to him and named it after one of his more obscure one-act plays. Some of the recurring themes of the album are: The Number 3, Existence, Rain, the Devil, Religion, America, the Ocean, and I'm sure plenty of other ridiculous things. Unlike my past releases, this album will be available for purchase in the next month or so by Feels Like Home Records. You'll be able to buy it on Itunes, CDbaby, a few independent record stores, and of course, via links on this site. I'll let you know again in the next few weeks when the release date is certain, along with a little preview of the upcoming material. Here's the tracklist!

1. Will The King Step Forward
2. Ballast, My Own
3. Three
4. World Gone Wrong
5. Ocean In My Head
6. Medium
7. Best I'll Ever Have
8. Boat!
9. Flashlights (Tonight)
10. No Arms No Oars
11. Three Years In A Mexican Prison With An American Eagle And A Man-Eating Whale
12. The Final Scene

I'll keep in touch, and I hope everyone is doing well!

Written by Logan

The Destroyer is the final part of my series of free eps which follow a different way the world could end. It is more hopeful but sinister sounding than it's predecessors, ending with an epic instrumental. Its lyrics are less personal than the Plague and more philosophical than The War, and are some of my favorite pieces.
